About this Course
This short course is for parents and educators who need an introduction, or update in the absolute basics of systematic, synthetic phonics. It’s compatible with all the programmes recommended by the English Department for Education. You’ll learn the basic terminology, progression of teaching and see a film about how to articulate sounds. You’ll also see some practical examples of how phonics is taught, and some ideas of how to support children who are struggling, including games.
