Morph Mastery: Intervention Training
An intervention for learners with spelling, reading and vocabulary difficulties
Are you looking for an intervention for your older pupils who still struggle with reading and spelling? Do you need an evidence and research based intervention which can be delivered by a teaching assistant? This course will provide you with a complete training in delivering the Morph Mastery intervention, and by the end of it you’ll be up and running with your learner(s).
What is Morph Mastery?
Morph Mastery is an intervention for learners with spelling, reading and vocabulary difficulties, using a morphological approach (prefixes, suffixes and roots). It adopts methodology suitable for learners with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties: it’s highly structured, cumulative, multi-sensory and personalised. It can be delivered by a teacher or an experienced teaching assistant, if overseen by a teacher/SENCO. It’s also a lot of fun and very well received by both learners and adults.
How to use Morph Mastery?
This intervention is great for older learners (aged 9 – 13) who still need structured and systematic intervention but need a change from phonics. This course will empower you to understand morphology and how to deliver the Morph Mastery intervention for learners with dyslexia. You’ll gain an in depth understanding of how to assess, plan, do and review using all the intervention materials.
What to Expect
A Step by Step Approach
Over 8 pre-recorded sessions guiding you through rationale and terminology, administering the assessments, planning for your students, and delivering each part of the lessons. By the end of the course you will be up and running with the intervention.
Hands on Tasks
Tasks in between each session which equip you to deliver the intervention.
Print-ready Resources
There are a number of high quality PDF resources ready for you to print and use. There are also full descriptions of any additional materials you’ll need to source locally.

Who is this course for?
Teaching assistants with experience of intervention and good literacy skills, ideally with a teacher or SENCO, and Specialist teachers
Course duration
8 sessions totalling 8 hours + tasks in between each session. Each session is released weekly. After the 8 weeks you have access to the course for an additional 90 days.
Cost
The course is £160 per person. Payments can be made with credit or debit card or by BACS transfer via your school or institution.
